ashortgiraffe asked you: I recently purchased a pair if shoes…

I recently purchased a pair if shoes similar to your “Who Could Be Saddle Shoes.” Besides dresses and skirts, what would be good to wear them with? I want to wear them more often, but can’t seem to find the perfect outfit!
Hi there! Saddle shoes are one of my personal very favorite shoe styles, and I think they’re actually quite versatile! For example, you can take a basic tee shirt and jeans to the next level with the addition of this retro footwear. On the other hand, try playing up a quirky 1950’s-inspired look by pairing an a-line dress with your saddle shoes and some red lipstick. Check out these pieces for some ideas – the possibilities are endless! To avoid appearing ‘costume-y’ or too over the top with your 50’s flair, balance out the ensemble with a few modern pieces like a sleek bag or some edgy black tights. Have fun experimenting! <3 Jess, ModStylist

Great White: 19 Off-the-Rack Wedding Dresses By Super-Cool Designers

We completely get the excitement of scheduling a fitting at Kleinfeld (or trying on a stack of gowns at Lovely Bridal or Stone Fox Bride). But we also get that the classic wedding-dress hunt might not be for everyone (and, hey, might not be for us!). So we went ahead and rounded up some really fly options that can be delivered right to your door—created by the sort of up-and-coming labels we love. They’re all white, to keep your great aunt happy, but that’s hardly to say you have to abide by that tradition either. —erica
